What do we do to 'Service' a used headset?

• To service a used headset we first make a visual inspection of the headset, noting any defects.
• We carry out a full operational test of the headset, both mechanical (headband and boom tension, etc.) and electrical (microphone, earphones, volume control, mono/stereo switch, comm leads, all working OK)
• We make any repairs necessary to return the headset to operational condition.
• If the value of the headset justifies it, we replace ear seals, headband pads, etc. as necessary.
• We give the entire headset an anti-bacterial clean, paying particular attention to the ear seals, headband pad, and microphone.
• We record any repairs and/or remaining minor defects.
